Celebrate Earth Day at the Pocomoke River State Park. Started in 1970 by Senator Gaylord Nelson, Earth Day promotes awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment. Join park staff and local 4-Hers to plant a native plant garden, clean up the park and to learn the importance of recycling. This fun event will give you ideas for projects to begin at home, such as creating a compost bin, attracting animals to your backyard and recycling. You can help the environment and have fun for the whole family.
